Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plays a vital role in online websites, especially in business sectors and interactive sites. It is the key tool to get more traffic on websites. As every business and service websites need SEO to keep their position in the Google or other search engine. It is SEO’s responsibilities to keep the website as a front runner in search engines.
The course was majorly focused on helping the participants learn the proper techniques to get more and more engagement of people on your websites. The title of the course-“On-Page and Technical SEO”, help you to get ideas in web promotion techniques along with social media marketing and digital media marketing.
The course was facilitated by Mr.Prakash Khatiwada, Co-Founder, SEO Company, Nepal and Mr.Prakash Humagain, Owner/Managing Director at Ennovative Web Pty Ltd, Australia for sharing their ideas and techniques about SEO and its applications to our participants.
The course was held for 4 days, and it was such a wonderful session for all the participants. This course helped the participants to know about SEO, its importance and scope for today’s market.
Introduction of SEO
The session was started explaining SEO and how it works. They introduced the term SEO stands for Search engine optimization, which is the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through organic search engine results for relevant keywords and phrases.
Tags and Meta Details
The participants were guided to use Tags(Title Tag, H1 Tags, Sub Heading and Headers Tag). The title is the most significant SEO factors on the page. The title should be unique and catchy. It should be descriptive and concise which helps readers to have a clear idea of what the page is about. In addition, they explained about Meta Description as the short paragraph of the text placed in the HTML of a web page that describes its content (not more than 150 words) and this is also known as SNIPPET.
The session helped the participants to understand the SEO friendly ideas, Image and Video Optimization and Internal Links. They clearly defined the term Schema Markup (Outline Marketing), is a code that put on a website to help the search engines return more informative results.
Content Quality and Off-page SEO
They even explained about content quality should be high, original and relevant. Ideally, longer posts are better (1,000 to 2,000 words) because it attracts more backlinks which increases the authority and ranking of pages in SERPs. The participants got ideas on the importance of backlinks in SEO and off-page SEO. The off-page optimization of the website helps to rank higher in the search engine result page which means higher traffic to the website.
The facilitator provided feedback in getting better and suggestions in making and delivering the content in a better way. The learnings and the availability of the techniques were amazing in this course. The participants shared that this has been an amazing learning and told us that they will incorporate these learnings in their personal and professional life in the days to come.
