ITALY: A Epitome of The Art And Fashion

“I’m in love with cities I’ve never been to and people I’ve never met.”

I am a perfect representation of what this generation finds ‘old fashioned’. I prefer reading books over a night out and waiting for the right one than experimenting with love. I love old music, and I immensely love art “in all its forms”. There are many places I wish to visit, but the one that I want to visit the most is the one that matches my vibe the most. The country that is synonym to style and elegance, the country that epitomizes effortless glamour. The fascinating mixture of sensational reality and fabulous mythology, the unmatchable in term of art and fashion, Italy.

My ideal day would start enjoying a good and strong coffee in sunny weather sitting outside on a metallic chair that never sits quite level on the pavement in the vintage street of Italy. As per the latter part of the day, I wish to visit contemporary art museums or take a stroll down the road. In the night, I want to dine like royalty for once. Rich wine and fancy Italian dishes served on the plate that solely crushes my monthly budget. The mouthwatering aroma of the food along with the tempting aura of the place and the merry feeling of being in Italy itself is enough to tempt me. Oh, how I wish I were in Italy tasting chocolates and cakes. The fashion and culture of Italy excite me just as much. Amid the crowd of always groomed, well dressed, completely pulled together Italian; I fancy harmonizing with them for once.

The country is a kind of street theatre. There is an element of posing everywhere, and it’s not pretentious or exaggerated, it’s just a way to see and be seen − people don’t just do it for the money, they do it because of the love they possess for their rich culture and customs. As James Michener said, “If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay home.” I don’t want to travel to a foreign land and spent my time idly there. I want to experience everything the place has to offer, everything I’m allowed to experience, everything my resources will enable me to witness. When you are in a new home, you are exposed to a lot of possibilities, even the usual routine of native there excites you as we take nothing for granted. This is the beauty of travelling; it strengthens our core values and the feeling of brotherhood and togetherness. The country is a classic, and I’m in love with it without even visiting there. It has hugely contributed to the worlds of art, architecture, fashion, opera, literature, design, and film. As I’m a passionate lover of all of them, it shouldn’t come as much surprise that I admire the country so much.

It is said that it’s better to see something once than hear about it a thousand times so Italy is a dream or should I call it a plan for me. I’ve read and understood about the country a lot, so not contrary to prejudice, I have a lot of expectations. Italy is my getaway plan, my dream yet to come true and my absolute favourite country aside from my own.
