“Every child you encounter is a divine appointment.” — Wess Stafford
World Children’s Day is celebrated annually on 20th November. The goal of World Children’s day is to improve child welfare worldwide, promote and celebrate children’s rights and promote togetherness and awareness amongst all children.
Children’s Day offers each of us an inspirational entry point to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights, translating into dialogues and actions that will build a better world for children.
This special day is dedicated to all of the children, so that they may enjoy these carefree years while they last and be ready for the responsibilities that await them. This day is set to respect children’s personalities and to celebrate their happiness.
The aim of World Children’s Day is to promote awareness among children, improve children’s welfare and celebrate children’s rights so that every child can fulfil their potential.
This year, the COVID-19 crisis has resulted in a child rights crisis. The costs of the pandemic for children are immediate and, if unaddressed, may last a lifetime. It’s time for generations to come together to reimagine the type of world we want to create. Let’s show our collective support to promote children’s rights.
Our children are our asset. It is our moral and constitutional duty and our international commitment under the Convention on Rights of the Child to ensure a safe and enabling environment for all our children. Our future depends on children and young people. Listening to their voices will help us reimagine a better tomorrow. Today, and every day, we’re supporting them to lift their voices and claim their rights.
For children, today is an opportunity to celebrate and advocate for children worldwide. It’s time to pause and be inspired by the kind of world the children of today will create as they grow up. Children are amazing dreamers, quick learners, idealistic and creative human beings. Ensure equal opportunity and an enabling environment for all the children so that they can grow up as a good citizen and wonderful adults.
A warm wish for all the children worldwide on this special day. They are the future of us, we should take care and think about them from every aspect.
It’s time to reimagine a better future for children everywhere. Let’s continue to protect the rights of children and ensure that their voices are heard always.
Wishing a very enjoyable day for children all over the world!
Happy World Children’s Day!
