Brains comprise 86 billion neurons which is more than stars that can be seen from the naked eye. Neurons play a crucial role in the learning processes. Neurons are cells that act as a messenger, sending information from one cell to another via electrical signals also referred to as nerve impulses. When we do anything, whether it’s a physical action or a mental task, our brain cells, called neurons, create connections. If we repeat the action, these connections get stronger, and the action becomes automatic. For example, learning to swim or ride a bike takes a lot of focused effort at first. During this learning stage, neurons talk to each other to build the pathways for the new skill. Each neuron can connect to as many as 10,000 other neurons, forming a large, interconnected system. When learning happens, our brain changes significantly, including the creation of new connections between neurons. This ability of the brain to change and adapt is called neuroplasticity- the ability to adapt and rewire itself in response to what we experience.

Ways to enhance learning effectively.

3. Mitigating Stress:

Stress diminishes the human memory, when an individual is stressed or heightened stress, the brain gets exhausted and cannot function efficiently. Subsequently, The ability to effectively process & retain information, (a fundamental component of learning) is compromised. Thus, mitigating the stress facilitates the absorption and enhances learning experiences & reinforces the long-term memory.

Multi-model learning is very effective in enhancing learning comprehension and retention. Multi-models like; Visual representation, reading aloud, and writing notes consciously can be efficient during the learning procedure.
